Airplane Accident Kills Four in Tennessee

On Monday, a small plane that had traveled from Kansas was trying to land at an airport in Tennessee. During the plane's approach on its second landing attempt, the plane crashed. The crash site was about 10 miles from the airport.

The Gulfstream 690C aircraft had four occupants, all of whom were related to each other. The occupants were: a 63-year-old woman, a 62-year-old man, a 40-year-old woman and a 16-year-old girl. They all died in the accident.

It is not yet known what caused the crash. One of the agencies working on the investigation of the crash is the National Transportation Safety Board. The NTSB worked particularly hard to collect evidence on Tuesday, due to concerns that the rainy weather that day posed a risk of evidence washing away. One wonders what the NTSB will find in its investigation.

As this matter shows, it often isn't immediately clear what caused a fatal airplane accident. This is why crash investigations are so important. This matter also illustrates one of the challenges that can arise when it comes to plane accident investigations. This challenge is that the time window in which certain types of evidence from airplane crashes can be found or observed can sometimes be very small. Thus, timely action can be vital following a plane accident. This is one of the reasons why families of victims of fatal plane crashes here in California may wish to promptly consult a personal injury attorney.
